Goals and Expected Outcomes

The overall goal of World Space Week Atlanta STEM to ESTEEM is to create exposure and broaden participation among K-25 students and teachers, higher education students and faculty, industry partners, and the wider community.

A particular focus of World Space Week ATL is to support involvement from under-represented minority groups and create opportunities for engagement with Space STEM.

Targeted Participants

Participants will be recruited from three key groups: higher education students, industry professionals, K-12 students, K-12 teachers.

♦Oct 4-10, 2022 (and ongoing): Launch of the HFF STEM to ESTEEM online Portal. A virtual location for Info and resources, including Subject Matter Expert STEMinars and STEMchats, Knowledge and info links, Learning Programs and Campaigns, Outreach Activities, and Special Events.

♦Oct 5, 2022: Data Science for Space and Sustainability – STEM Opportunities Virtual Workshop “Data Science, Space, and Sustainability Science and Applications: Programs, Panels, Job Talks, and Internship Opportunities for 21st Century multi-disciplinary Space and Sustainability workforce

◊Oct 8, 2022: SpaceDay ATL in the AUC 2022. AUC/HFF/GSGC hosted Hands-on STEM / STEAM demonstrations and Activities and experiences focused on Space, Sustainability, Education, Outreach, and Product demonstrations.

◊Oct 7, 2022 (Invited Event, 25 pp): HFF/H-SETA 2021-2025 STEM Learning Campaign Strategic Planning Forum.
